Emerging Artists, as defined by Made on the Coast: We encourage artists from all disciplines who meet the residency and age requirements to apply.
Applications must be received by 5PM, Sunday February 28th, 2021. The judges will review all fully completed applications received by the deadline. Selected artist(s) will be notified no later than March 19th, 2021 by email. Artist(s) will be required to sign the Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee Art & Pumpkin Festival participation agreement, video/photography release form and the grant agreement by April 2nd, 2021. At an agreed time in August, the grantee must present an update of the project in order to receive funding. The project must be completed by October 2nd, 2021 and be a part of the artist’s booth at the Pumpkin Festival, Made on the Coast Locals Block, October 17th, 2021.
The judges will rely on your materials and images provided, so make sure you provide the most accurate, best quality completed information. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Funds will be distributed as follows:
50% upon award
50% upon approval of project narrative and expense report
FAILURE TO FINISH THE PROJECT WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF GRANT AND REQUIREMENT OF RETURN OF GRANT MONEY TO Made on the Coast.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
- Describe your project in 100 words or less
- Explain why you and your project goals should be considered as an emerging artist
- Photos, sketches or artwork showcasing your work and project
- August date when festival committee can review project for approval at festival
- Final date of completion (no later than October 2nd)
